This is an antique pair of binoculars from WWI. 6x30 binoculars from Carl Zeiss Jena with serial number 860405. They come in their original case which is actually wooden with a leather lid. Someone has carved the initials LD on the front of the case.Please see photographs provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition. These binoculars are well used, they have age and use wear on the surfaces. The Bakelite eye pieces are chipped around the rims. The lenses are both a little cloudy in places and also have little black specks. The case is scuffed and scratched. The strap from the case is missing.
The front leather catch strap looks to be a later replacement. 6 and 1/4 inches x 4 and 1/2 inches.My stock ref : #H12-11022 in binoculars box.
