Carl Zeiss Jena SEPTAREM 7x40W SUPER S very Rare Binoculars 1969 MUST SEE. Here are perhaps one of the most widely scarce and unheard of pairs of Carl Zeiss Jena binoculars; THE SEPTAREM 7x40 WIDE ANGLE SUPER S. These binoculars were only produced in 1968 & 69 and are rumoured to be the most expensive model produced by that time. The were inspired as a civilian model of the army issued zeiss military 7 x 40s and would eventually become all the more rare.
Whats especially unusual about this model is they have pop in/out eye pieces to cater for the difference in image to eye for spectacle wearers. Meaning if you are like me and do wear spectacles you dont have to remove them before use. The condition for age is throughout good with no Fungal damage and a nice sharp clear image when looked through. The lenses have very very minor ware that needs to be noted as these are not brand new but none the less good and clear. The lense wheel itself has its thin plastic grip strip part missing as photographed, upon a close inspection I believe this could be replaced relatively easily with a steady hand and a little time and care if preferred, this does not effect use and the wheel turns freely as it should.
The binoculars come with their original case and strap. Best offers will be considered but please allow up to 2 days for a response.
